Good environment, but lousy food, service and hygeine

From the outside and the building and the menu sound really inviting, but experiencing this eatery is a reality check to the contrary.
My biggest problem was the hygiene. There were too many flies around. Worst, there was nothing being done about it.
One gets a clue about what the flies might be attracted to when noticing the table cleaning habits of the staff. The cloth used was never washed and used over and over again, Between being used to clean tables the cloth rested in the apron of the owner, who was cleaning tables. To top it all off the crumbs and left overs cleaned between patrons were just thrown to the floor. I'm guessing this is what the flies were attracted to.
The service is erratic. There are too many tables per server and is the confusion created by such a workload the server is abrupt and scatter-brained.
The Food is over priced. For the amount I paid for the dishes I could have gotten a fresher meal which tasted better.
In retrospect, just avoid this place all together

Get greasy bacon & eggs before riding your bicycle!
This nice little restaurant is set in the historic jail of Moab and offers good American (eggs+bacon+potatoes and many variations) breakfasts starting at 7 am until 12. A great way to start the day if you are sure to loose the pounds hiking or biking the trails around Moab!
