Heber >The Stew Pot
One of Utah's Greatest and Affordable Restaurants.
Hey....Parkites and Heber and Midwayites........You all sit and moan and complain about decent restaurants that cater to the locals but then you sit on your butts and do not support them. When they disappear, you all complain again. THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST RESTAURANTS IN OUR AREA, PEOPLE. LIKE "HELLO?" Many of you ate there constantly when the restaurant was in the Deer Valley Office Building and do not know where they went. Well, they are alive and kicking in Heber!!!!!!! Same menu only BETTER than what they had in Deer Valley AND the prices are LOWER. Your host and master chef, Danny, wants to hear that you are a return guest from Park City and he will go out of his way to make sure that you leave his restaurant with rave reviews. Absolutely everything is fresh and made from scratch including all of the deserts. Check around and see if the other restaurants in your area are making from scratch all of their deserts. Most use Cisco lasagna and other products and all you get is a microwaved meal even including Olive Garden you all think is so wonderful.....
Where are you eating tonight or at lunch today???????Go to the stewpot.....You will thank me after you go. Get a salad too. All of this dressings arehomemade but his blue cheese dressing is to die for. By the way, ALL of his stews and soups are made fresh daily and you will love them. The clam chowder is unbelieveable. Eat your heart out Market Street Restaurants.
The Stew Pot. Great service, great food. The chef even came out and made sure our salmon was cooked to our liking. Possible fluctuations in quality of food because a lot of the dishes are chef's choice of the day. We went at 5 and it was almost empty, but by 6:30 when we left it was completely full, so get there early. Service was very prompt. I had the Jambalaya which was good but not enough cajun spicing. My friend had salmon with a caper cream sauce which was out of this world. Dessert was peach cobbler (also "of the day") and was very tasty. Oh, if they have seafood chowder, get it.
Pleasant aromas assail your senses, like at Grandma's house at Thanksgiving..
The Stew Pot serves a selection of delicious homemade soups and stews created daily. Follow your nose to the simple dining room adjacent to Deer Valley Lodging's check-in desk. If the weather is nice, adjourn to the outdoor deck overlooking a duck pond.
Prices are reasonable, the quality is superb, and the service is efficient. Try the soup-and-salad combination for a light lunch or the baked potato and salad. Dinner specialities include teriyaki chicken, jambalaya, and stir fry. The burgers and sandwiches are tasty, especially when served with a cup of the soup de jour. Takeout is available.
YUMMMMMMMMM. The best soup/salad combo ever!!!!! If you out for lunch in Park City, make the trip to the Stew Pot. Very good soup!
