fantastic. The water is warm and beautiful - great - great - great for swimming. On north side you drive on beach which meant that we got stuck 2 times in the sand.

Turquoise waters and red raspberries make this a top destination for summertime fun.. Overview
Straddling the Utah-Idaho border and nestled among the northern Utah mountains, Bear Lake draws many visitors for boating, sailing, fishing and waterskiing, as well as swimming and scuba diving. Along the shores, camping and picnicking are equally popular. It's also busy in the winter: A January run of cisco draws many anglers annually.

The Appeal
There are three state-operated facilities at Bear Lake. The Bear Lake Marina is just what its name suggests. There's a sheltered harbor, large boat ramp, boat slips, visitor center and modern camping facilities. Rendezvous Beach on the south shore of the lake has a wide, sandy beach and is a popular swimming location. Modern camping facilities are also available at Rendezvous Beach. Primitive camping and two smaller boat ramps can be found at the Eastside area, 10 miles north of Laketown.

Summertime retreat. The color of this lake is unbelievable. Most of the people who come here either have condos or boats, but there are some nicely priced hotels around if you're just here for a visit. There's a lovely bike trail that's great for walking, or you can go to the beach at the north end and enjoy the sunshine. Great place to bring the family.
