The water is warm and beautiful - great - great - great for swimming. On north side you drive on beach which meant that we got stuck 2 times in the sand.

  • Cons: hard to get to, park on beach

Summertime retreat

The color of this lake is unbelievable. Most of the people who come here either have condos or boats, but there are some nicely priced hotels around if you're just here for a visit. There's a lovely bike trail that's great for walking, or you can go to the beach at the north end and enjoy the sunshine. Great place to bring the family.

  • Pros: Beautiful scenery
