In Short – Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

Beware of Cancellation Charges
by Austin Triathlete
I made an on-line reservation in January for a June 2012 two night stay to complete at the Buffalo Springs 70.3 IM. The price for the hotel was higher per night than the hotel’s normal rate. The reservation required a minimum of a two night stay. I only needed one night. But I figured, It’s the event hotel and it would be nice to stay there along with other athletes to enjoy the seminars and vendors.
I was injured in April and it required surgery which meant that I could not compete. When I tried to cancel my reservation in May, 2012 I was informed that I could cancel but that I would lose the entire amount of the stay since this was an Advance Purchase. I went back and read the fine print on the on-line reservation and found a fine print statement that I would lose the deposit. I guess the hotel management figures that they can optimize profits by imposing such strict rules when the hotel is busiest. I am really disappointed they choose to do business like this. If I cannot get my $$ back. Holiday Inn will never get my business again.
