Horrible service, overpriced menu. Came across Mama Mia's while on vacation at Corpus. Thought it would be a fun mom and pop shop to eat. Once I came in it wreaked of smoke. Hoping for good food, my wife and I ignored the cloud of smoke we entered into. I went up to the hostess and it turns out they have no order whatsoever of who would be seated next. Apparently you must jump in for a seat when a table becomes available. After a half hour wait, we were seated and served by teenage girls who were not professional at all. The food was soso, but not worth it for the price, yet portions are big. A trip to the restroom proved to be a mistake, it must have been a month since it was serviced, with toilet paper all over the floor and well, I'm not going to get into more detail then that; needless to say, I was ready to get outa there after using the restroom.

Overall, I think this restaurant needs to learn how to properly serve its costumers and maintain a cleaner place. I had the impression that my business did not mean anything to them, and felt very unwelcome. If you decide to go here, I hope you like smoke, pricy food, and nasty restrooms.

Pretty good, but I'm kind of picky.... Myself being Italian, I must say the food is pretty good as well as the portions. Service was great. The only problems I had with this restaurant are: The variety of appetizers is bad. They only have two things, stuffed mushrooms and pan fried mozzarella. I also thought the wine prices by the bottle were high and the "house" wine by the glass was kind of high too, at $7.50 The corkage fee (if you bring your own) is $15.75 which also is kind of high in my opinion. They serve bread when you first arrive and they have olive oil on the table, but no Italian spices to go with the olive oil and no butter either. They have been there a long time and probably won't change based on my comments, but I'd like to think they would take this into consideration.

Great Food!. The food is unbelievable! Excellent Italian food. Great wine! I love the owner, very sweet and flirty man! Everytime I've gone, it's been packed. Love the music being played. It would be a good place for a date, or a group. It can be expensive though, especially when you start adding wine to the meal. But oh.... what a meal!

GREAT!!!. This place is perfect. You are met by the owner at the door. He is an older Italian man who loves to talk and drink wine while smoking a cigar. They donot take reservations, and you will understand why when you get there. The food is prepared right there (nothing "pre-cooked") and it's authenticity is priceless. The prices run from $15 - $20 per person not including wine. I recomend this experience to anyone everyone!!
