Hardly what it used to be.

Joe Cotten's has always been the talk of the town when it comes to BBQ in the Corpus Christi area. People have heard about it and want to got, unfortunately their quality has dropped to near the bottom. The BBQ is average at best and the sides taste they bought them at the Wal Mart down the road.

Save your money and get some Howard's BBQ or Mac's BBQ in town. Cheaper, better and a nicer crew.

Joe Cotten's doesn't split checks nor do they take credit cards.

  • Pros: Nice rustic feel of a BBQ joint.
  • Cons: Overpriced, overrated and just a tourist trap.

This is the real thing....

I am a big fan of good BBQ and this place is an absolute "best of the best". My friends and family have dined here for over 15 years without any disappointments. If you're in the mood for delicious juicy stringy beef, you're in the right place.

Everything they serve is wonderful. From the beans to the large fresh tomatoes, everything you want to compliment a magnificent meal is served up on butcher's paper atop a checkered tablecloth. Even the iced tea is special.

My personal favorite is stingy beef and sausage but the ribs and pork are the best around too. Take your time, these guys are going to bring all the meat and sides you can handle and they won't leave you waiting for refills or extras. Well managed with a professional staff, this old styleTexas BBQ joint has character and rustic charm. The perfect place for large groups and the dress is very casual and relaxed. No menus on hand, just the best BBQ you ever tasted, described and suggested by attentive waiters that will not be satisfied until you are!

Without a doubt, the tastiest BBQ sauce in the world. Go there and see for yourself, this is the real thing!

Hats off to Cotten's!!!
