Beach Lodge Pizza
It's got charm and the easiest beach access on the island.. I fish and play a lot in Port A and I love staying in all of the locally owned cottages. I avoid the chain hotels i.e. Best Western etc. which are fine, but I prefer the charm of the locally owned and operated strange little places that you can find for a lot cheaper than you would think. The Beach Lodge is one of my favorites for sure. You can get breakfast in the bar in the morning, they have a great deck with a view, pool and the best part is the beach access from the front. You can drive up and park in the back of the lodge and the front opens up through the dunes to the beach. This is especially awesome because you don't have to take your vehicle onto the sand if you don't want to. I always have a great time at the Beach Lodge.…
Wonderful bargain on the beach!.
Most rooms are no-frills, but have been recently remodeled including some new furnishings and new bathrooms. If you go to the beach and want to stay in your room all day, I have paid twice and
didn't enjoy the view of the walls!
Great food and a very
friendly staff in a family-run business.
Don't leave for your meals -- can't beat the beach view, food taste or the price!

Great food and atmosphere. Ok, let me make this clear, this review is for the food not the lodging.....we looked into one of the rooms and lets just say it was definitly an economy room. If you are looking for a bed and a bathroom and nothing more this is the place to stay. Anyway, the restaraunt was fantastic, it is just a little place, only a few tables inside and about 5 tables outside, but it is right on the beach....great views. the service was just great, you can tell that it is a family owned place. Our waitress looked like she must have been the grandmom or aunt or something, just the sweetest thing. Everyone was very nice, we had breakfast there and it was good. We were never preasured to eat and leave, we just chilled out and had our coffee and had nice causal conversation with the employees. We had not really seen anything about this place on any websties, we just happened apon it when we were walking down the beach and I am so glad we did.....this will definitly be a regular place for us everytime we visit Port A!!!…
